Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Heres a late Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year to everyone! 2011 has been a great year for the sGs & OCB Community. We had the release of many PC titles ranging from Crysis 2, Brink, Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and ofc Battlefield 3 just to name a few. We've had many great moments throughout the year with the OCB World Cup and our successes in Brink where we achieved the final at Gamescom, and securing sponsorship from BT Infinity!

However 2011 was also the year we will never forget our great friend 'odan' who we sadly lost. The community has stayed strong though bringing in many new faces as we move forward in each new game!

I hope you had a good 2011 & here's to an even better 2012!

BF3 Easter Egg Hints BF 2143

Battlefield 3’s Wake Island might as well be called “Easter Egg Island” due to the amount of content tucked away in obscure corners of the map. What is this hint? A futuristic warrior hiding up a tree? A gunship hidden at the bottom of the ocean? Neither, according to bf3blog.com – who also posted this image. It’s the numbers “2143” painted on a wall. It could be a hint that the eagerly-awaited sequel to future manshoot Battlefield 2142 is in the pipeline.

In addition, a Reddit user found a toy dinosaur tucked in a cave on one of the maps. Apparently there are six scattered across the map, with this YouTube user on a mission to find them all.

Steam announce fastest selling game in history

Ever since launch, Skyrim’s pretty much monopolized Steam’s most-played list, so positively massive numbers were pretty much a foregone conclusion. That said, damn. First up, there’s this rather extraordinary bit:

“Skyrim is the fastest selling title in Steam’s history” said Jason Holtman, Valve’s director of business development (via IndustryGamers). “Bethesda’s commitment to and understanding of the PC as a gaming platform shows in the great review scores, spectacular launch, and continued high player numbers that Skyrim has received.”

A grand total of 10 million units shipped (not sold) and $650 million at retail on all platforms only serve to hammer home an obvious point: Skyrim’s kind of a big deal.
